A Legacy Unveiled
The Genesis in 1990

In 1990, the National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) embarked on a transformative journey by launching the Structured Probationers’ Training Course (PTC). This marked the inception of a legacy dedicated to shaping leaders for the Indian Ordnance Factories Service. Over three remarkable decades, from 1989-90 to 2019-20, NADP has proudly trained 60 batches, nurturing the skills and potential of 1306 IOFS Probationers.

Evolutionary Milestones
Core Competency Training (2005)

In 2005, NADP took a monumental stride by introducing Core Competency Training at three proficiency levels: Basic, Advanced, and Expert. This initiative aimed at honing the expertise of IOFS officers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Revolutionizing Operations
TPM in OFB (2005)

NADP emerged as a trailblazer in 2005, playing a pivotal role in introducing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in the Ordnance Factories Board (OFB). The academy sustained this momentum by organizing 13 TPM Conferences, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and excellence.

Golden Peacock National Training Award (2011)

In 2011, NADP's commitment to excellence received prestigious recognition with the conferment of the Golden Peacock National Training Award, underscoring its leadership in training and development.

Healthcare Accreditation
CMEs for IOFHS Officers (2015)

Adding another feather to its cap, NADP gained accreditation from the Maharashtra Medical Council in 2015. This accreditation empowered the academy to conduct Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for IOFHS Officers, emphasizing holistic professional development.

E-Learning Courses During COVID (2020)

Adapting to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, NADP showcased resilience by launching e-Learning courses, ensuring uninterrupted skill development and knowledge dissemination.

Pioneering Transparency
3rd Party Audit under RTI Act (2020)

In 2020, NADP was entrusted with the 3rd Party Audit of Proactive Self-disclosure under Section 4 of the RTI Act 2005 by the Central Information Commission (CIC). Auditing 16 Public Authorities under the Department of Defence Production (DDP), NADP exemplified its commitment to transparency and accountability.

Acknowledged Expertise
Partnership with DARPG (2021)

Recognizing NADP's expertise, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) selected the academy in 2021 for the professional documentation and dissemination of good governance initiatives through the "e-MDP."

Integration and Expansion
MIL Unit (2021)

In 2021, NADP achieved another milestone by becoming one of the units of Munitions India Limited (MIL), fortifying its role and influence within the defense sector.

IMS Certification (2022)

In 2022, NADP attained IMS certification (ISO 9001:2015, EMS 14001:2015 & OHSMS 45001:2018), highlighting its dedication to quality, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety.

Graded Excellence
NSCSTI Accreditation (2023)

Building on its commitment to standards, NADP was accredited and graded as "अति उत्तम" (Excellent) in the National Standards for Civil Service Training Institutions (NSCSTI) by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) in 2023.

Innovating Education
AICTE Approved PGDM (Business Management) (2023)

Keeping pace with the dynamic educational landscape, NADP expanded its horizons by rolling out an AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Business Management) in 2023, opening new avenues for leadership development.
